2014 has been an extremely exciting year for advertising in the digital video landscape. And I’ve been fortunate enough to have a front row seat.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving. Hopefully you are resting at home, stuffed to the gills, binging on YouTube videos. If you have no clue what to watch, we've shared a list of the must-see Thanksgiving YouTube videos of 2014. Before we jump into the list though, we would like to take a moment to say thank you.
You’ve spent a tremendous amount of time getting your brand onto the front page of Google for the keywords that are most relevant. Why? Because pagerank matters. With nearly half of all online purchases beginning through search and 75% of users never scrolling past the first page of search results, it’s clear to see that position matters. In fact, the #1 position on the first page of a Google search receives 33% of the traffic (Page 1 results garner 92% of overall traffic, according to Search Engine Watch).

Thank God for headphones. What does this have to do with the mobile video and TV comparison, you ask? I live in New York City, which means I ride the subway to work. Every morning, during my commute, I’m not only likely to be sardined between a businessman and a hobo, but I’m also inundated with the sight of the soft glow of video on the faces of the commuters around me. Thus, I say ‘thank God for headphones’.
